FAQs

How can I minimize breaks and ensure that all my trades will settle?

The IMS Trade Settlement Module captures Status Messages and updates trade status at real-time.
API calls to Swift Securities View bring Status updates from all parties and assist in Early Intervention.

How can I ensure that the counterparties will accept my messages?

IMS prepares messages according to counterparty preferences driven by reference data tables. These preferences include the format (MT/MX/CSV/XML/Excel) as well as the preferred method of representing field values (example: ISIN/CUSIP, BIC/Address/ID, etc.), which can be set differently for each party.

How can I qualify my messages prior to transmission?

IMS pre-processing services perform network validation, PDM checks, filters, compliance checks, etc., and extends dashboards and interfaces for approvals, release mechanisms etc.

Do I need Swift Connectivity or a BIC for participating in Post Trade Processing?

No. ECS offers Swift Service Bureau or Swift API for connectivity and BIC for transmission

What is IMS Post Trade Processing?
